Why I’m Running for Re-Election: Part 2

Three words: Historic Downtown Apex. Our historic downtown is what makes Apex unique, but there’s always room for improvement. In 2019, the Apex Town Council adopted the Apex Downtown Master Plan and Parking Study to provide a vision for these improvements. We’ve already taken the first step by voting to increase parking in the Saunders Street lot, enhance the alleyways along Commerce and Seaboard Streets, and transform Salem Street into a true gathering space by widening the sidewalks, going curbless and planting trees for shade. If re-elected, my highest priority will be to implement as much of the Downtown Plan as possible.
